A little editing 8 years later...


This was my first attempt at properly shooting a sunset. I was incredibly lucky, because if you have ever been to England, you know how cloudy it usually is. I enjoy the lighting created in this shot because it does actually capture the ambient light of that evening. I couldn't have asked for better foreground subject matter.

My nephew was born on May 23rd at roughly 1AM. My brother and I were hanging out at the nursery and viewing the newest addition to our family.

Memorial Day

Today I went out to Collins Hill park to practice some photography and to further familiarize myself with the intricacies of the dSLR. Here's a bird that I followed around for about 10 minutes. He would always stay about 20 feet away from me, constantly keeping the buffer should I close the gap.

On my way out I ran into the Sheltons (Justin, Amanda, Parker and Hayden). Here's Parker with his "rescue pack".
